The WOW! Movement™ is grounded in the following Philosophy of
Leadership and educates and supports your mastery in each of these areas.
PERSONAL LEADERSHIP (Leading One's Self to
Greatness)
- Leadership is a path of development and a way of
life characterized by authenticity, responsiveness, and integration. To be a
masterful leader, you must commit to developing yourself,
leading your life effectively, and being responsive to the world around you. You cannot lead others beyond your
capacity to lead yourself. By integrating your personal and professional lives, you will experience greater
effectiveness and fulfillment in both areas.
- Leadership is a quality and capacity that exists
within everyone. Leaders are committed to mastery and utilize assessments,
feedback, ongoing learning, practices, and support structures that allow for the discovery and development of
their unique personal leadership capacity.
- Leadership is an offer of service to others. Leaders offer their best
in producing outcomes and results that generate healthy conditions which allow the core concerns of others
to be addressed to a point of satisfaction.
RELATIONAL LEADERSHIP
(Leading Others to Greatness)
- Leadership is about creating communities of people who enjoy a
sense of belonging, are encouraged and supported in utilizing their strengths and gifts, and are proactive in
building relationships of trust, respect and freedom of expression.
- Leadership is about creating shared direction, shared meaning and shared
commitments which are actualized through the creation of alignment, motivation, coordination of
action, and full engagement.
- Leadership is about creating new levels of freedom for followers
and supporting them in effectively confronting and utilizing that freedom in service to the greater
whole.
- Leadership is about creating opportunities and environments in
which followers can excel and express their own leadership qualities and capacities. Leaders create
leaders.
ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP (Leading the
Organization to Greatness)
- Leadership is about creating the organizational
conditions that allow for shifts in the
context, relatedness, language and mood of the organization. (We call this the shift from the "Woe to
WOW!" culture.) This allows for the unfolding of an invented future.
- Leadership is about facilitating change and
transformation in order for the organization to remain
relevant in the marketplace.

LEADERSHIP (Leading the World to Greatness)
- Leaders lead in way
that is mindful of the global impact of their organization's actions. Leaders lead with
the health and well-being of the global
community in mind and are proactive in making a positive contribution to the health of the
